Visionary Giving is an expression of being a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. It involves the extraordinary giving through financial resources with a focus on what Christ has done in our lives, and what He wants to do in the lives of others.

There is no doubt that our church is where it is today because 100 people made a commitment years ago to giving financially with a vision of the future and the mission that God had in mind for our great church. Our current worship facilities are just one expression of those commitments!  Imagine what impact our church could have now if every one of us made a similar commitment.  We are praying that our visionary giving and financial commitments to God through becausewecare.com will be used to multiply our impact in our community, our nation, and around the world!

Visionary Giving is not based on guilt, pressure, or even relevant needs. However, Visionary Giving does seek to move us past convenience and obligation into a whole new realm of  the stewardship of the resources of which God  has entrusted to us.

Impact Day:  August 14, 2005

On Impact Day, we are asking every individual and family that calls Mountain lake home to commit to visionary giving in two ways:

1. A One-time “Impact” Visionary Gift.
   We pray that God will use us this day to collect the largest offering our community has ever seen at one time, for Greater Impact.
   
   Our Goal: $100,000
   
2. A two year financial commitment to the becausewecare.com spiritual initiative.

BCWC offerings and commitments are given over and above what we already give to God through Mountain Lake.

All Becausewecare.com offerings and commitments will be used to accomplish our Greater Impact initiatives.
