Does my personal time with God REALLY matter?
Our influence on others for Christ depends greatly on what they see in us. People will measure Christianity as much by their eyes as by their ears. A church where the people are not growing will have little influence on a watching world, but the person who is continually improving and going forward will impact their community. People will think there is truth and life when they see growth.
Where do I begin? How can I grow?
We have provided a great place to start in the daily devotional guide. Set aside some time every day to read the devotional, the verses and answer the questions. Pray that God will use the guide to grow your walk with Him.
Isn’t personal time alone with God enough to be a good Christian?
It is true that personal time with God every day is of utmost importance, but without other areas of growth, your walk will be lacking. We still need to spend time in community with other believers, use our gifts by serving, and use our resources through giving. All these are great measuring sticks of growth in your spiritual journey.
Isn’t everyone else growing faster than I am?
We all admire growth in other people and often wish we were more like them. But we can make the false assumption that we can never grow like they can. This is not true! God has given everyone of us the ability to grow, we just have to begin to take the right steps. The people who grow the fastest are those who begin to take special attention to their daily time with God.
